Estate++ gives you 1GB (gigabyte) of upload space to store documents, scanned images, and photographs; but, what exactly does this mean?
A gigabyte is a massive amount of storage space. It is approximately one billion bytes of computer storage equivalent to 1000MB (megabytes). 1GB can hold over 1000 novels (uncompressed at 100,000 words per novel). 1GB is roughly equal to 18 hours of MP3 music compressed at 128kbs. A DVD disc can hold between 4GB and 9GB (depending on the format).
One page of a scanned document is approximately 200,000 bytes. So a 200 page legal document will occupy about 40MB of upload space. The maximum file size that Estate++ allows you to upload is 100M (102,400KB).
